Participants Needed - The Employment Experiences of Autistic Adults

About the study:

We are looking for 100 autistic adults to share their experiences attempting to find work, and/or in the workplace. As part of this study you will be interviewed by a researcher to find out more about your experience with job searches, job interviews, and experiences in the workplace (if you have been employed). As part of this research we will video and/or audio record your interview to better understand how body language and speech characteristics might also contribute to employment success. These results will help us to better understand how experiences with finding and keeping a job might be different for autistic people.

Who can participate?

If you are interested, 18+ years of age, and agree to participate you will be asked to provide information about your personality traits, as well as take part in an interview where a researcher will ask you questions related to employment.

Some information will be gathered through a secure online survey, while the interview can take place online (on zoom) or in person at Wilfrid Laurier University, or another location of your choosing.

Time and compensation:

In total, the research experience will take between 1-1.5 hours. You will be compensated with $30 for your time.
